Your folio is a very important part of your school assessment. It is the place where you will keep a record of ALL the evidence of your research processes.
Refer to the performance standards when setting up your folio. Your folio should be a reflection of how you are meeting the aspects of Planning and Application. It should also be the place where you show how your research has developed your chosen capabilities. This video shows an example of how to use an ePortfolio to create a database of evidence over a lifetime. Think of your folio as being your database of evidence over the lifetime of this research project.
The key to success in the Research Project is organisation.
Organise your time
Organise your resources
Organise your work load
If you do these things you will still find the Research Project taxing, but you will not be as stressed.
In the first few weeks, set yourself the target of:
1. developing a system for organising your resources;
2. set up a schedule for organising your time (when you do your subject homework, when you do your Research Project work, when you go to work, when you exercise, when you have fun - make sure you get a good balance);
3. set up a planning schedule so that you know what tasks you set yourself and give yourself goals and deadlines.
